The Africa Federation (AFED) Secretariat received with deep sorrow and sadness the news of the death of Alhaj Haider Ali Hussein Ali Rahim of Kampala who passed away in Mombasa on Tuesday 26th March 2024 (15th Ramadhan 1445 A.H.) and was buried at night on the same day.
Brief Profile
Marhum Haider Ali bhai who was originally from Pakistan was a dedicated Community servant known for his commitment, dynamism and humbleness, he was an individual who was approachable and respected by all those who knew him. At the Africa Federation level, he served as the Chairman of Bilal Muslim Mission of Uganda from January 2020 until November 2023. He played vital role in organizing the food distribution across various centers and local communities in Uganda.
Community Services
Marhum Haider Ali bhai began his community services with Kampala Jamaat as a volunteer in 1997 and was then elected as an Execuitve Committee member of the Jamaat in 2006, he was the Captain of Hussaini Volunteer Corps in 2012 and served as the Vice Chairman of the Jamaat for two terms, thereafter he was elected as the Trustee in 2020, the position he held until his death. He was deeply involved in the construction of the first phase of the new Bilal Secondary School in Kampala. Marhum was one of the team members who were involved in the major renovation of the Kampala Jamaat Imambargha and the redevelopment of the Jamaat’s impressive Commercial Project "The Mall" which was inaugurated during the Centenary Celebrations of Kampala Jamaat in September 2023.
Farewell to a Dedicated and Selfless Community Member
We convey our heartfelt condolences to his wife Noor Zehra bai, sons Hasnain and Mohamed Hadi, daughters Hina and Huma, and all the family members. We also extend our condolences to the leadership of KSI Jamaat of Kampala and Bilal Muslim Mission of Uganda on the loss of a volunteer who contributed immensely to the development of the Jamaat.
- We pray to Allah (SWT) to grant Marhum maghferat and place his soul amongst the blessed ones in the vicinity of the Chahardah Ma’sumeen (‘A) where he is continuously blessed with the mercy and grace of Allah (SWT), Ameen.
- Sura-Al-Fateha is requested for Marhum Haider Ali Bhai and all the Marhumeen.
