Sayyid Abdul Husayn

Brief Profile

A Shia Ithna Asheri muballigh who arrived in Mahuva around 1857. His son Hakim Mohamed Husain was a royal hakim for the nawabs of Junagadh. Sayyid Abdul Husayn lived in Mahuva for 2-4 years before he left to Junagadh. He played a primary role in nurturing Jalal Shah who subsequently preached the Ithna Asheri amongst the Khojas of Mahuva. Meraj Sayed recalled that Bhutto family was one of their regular visitors during the time of his grandfather, Hakim Mohamed Husain.
