Alhaj Zoulfikar hails from a family whose illustrious services to the community in Madagascar are well known and stretches to several decades. His late grandfather, Alhaj Asgaraly Vasram, was the Treasurer of the Council of the Khojas communities of Madagascar between 1967 and 1970, and his late father, Alhaj Bakar Vasram, was the Secretary General of the same Council between 1994 and 2000; Marhum Bakar bhai was a regular attendee of the [[Africa Federation]] Conferences and Supreme Council Sessions, his contributions in the deliberations were quite valuable.

==Personal Achievements & Life Journey==
Zoulfikar bhai has great passion in history, he has spent many years in research work of the history of our community, in particular Madagascar his country of domicile. He has authored several books. Two books in French, biographies of [https://khojapedia.com/wiki/index.php?title=Ayatullah_Al_Sayyid_Abul_Qasim_Al_Musawi_Al_Khoei '''Sayyid al-Khoei'''] and of Sayyed Khomeini were published by the Council of the Khoja communities of Madagascar in 2006. Also, four books in French on Imam al-Mahdi (a.t.f.s.) were published by Ansariyan Publications of Qum, Iran, in 2015.

In 2013, he accompanied Dr. Hasnain Walji of [https://khojapedia.com/wiki/index.php?title=Mulla_Asghar_Resource_Centre '''MARC] on a trip to Nosy Be Island, Marovoay and Maevatanana for the documentary film on Khojas of Madagascar. Again, in 2016, he accompanied Dr [[Hasnain Walji] to Toliara and Morondava for the same mission to complete the cycle of obtaining information of Khojas in Madagascar. In 2022, with the support and cooperation of Alhaj Ylias Akbaraly, Chairman of Redland, he compiled “Les Khojas de Madagascar - Photos ancientness (1900 – 1960)” This book is in French and is a compilation of more than 150 photos of the Khoja community of Madagascar, with more than 700 persons identified on these photos.

Zoulfikar bhai was born in 1974 at Mahajanga, Madagascar; he is a businessman by profession and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting obtained in 1995, he resides in Madagascar.
