Haji Khalfanbhai Rattansi was amongst the early supporters of a new movement in the history of Khojas as they began to imbibe the teachings of Qur’an and Ahlulbayt (as). Every year, Khlafanbhai used to send thirty to forty individuals for Hajj and Ziyarat at his own expense. His contribution was not limited to financial aid when he pledged to support the movement with ten thousand Indian rupees, but he also had to endure the pain of excommunication and being refused to bury his daughter in the local cemetery. Thus, his support in laying the foundation of Khoja Shia Ithna Asheri Community remains unparalleled. Truly when wealth is accompanied by unconditional support, steadfastness, humbleness, and piety, it remains a perpetual blessing of Allah swt.
